The system is based on a material called Lycron of which all the modules and compressing elements are made. They have a very low smoke factor during fire and the generated smoke does not contain halides that pose a life hazard.

What is more, all the elements made of Lycron are pre-lubricated and do not require additional work aimed at reducing friction between the modules, while saving 50% of assembly time and facilitating the disassembly of a cable transit.

Insert blocks

Insert blocks are used when we know the precise outer diameter of cables which facilitates assembly as each module has complete identification of the cable or pipe dimensions for which it is intended. That is why it does not require special adjustment.  The range of insert blocks covers cables between 3.5 and 101.5 mm in outer diameter.

Spare blocks

The unused space in the frame is filled with spare blocks that provide for the addition of new cables in the future.

Flexible Addblock sealing modules.

If the dimensions of the sealed cables or pipes are not precisely specified, special flexible Addblock modules may be used, whose sealing tolerance is 5 mm. There are 11 different sizes of Addblock. By tearing off the wing-like inserts, which are of varying thickness, and inserting them in the module it is possible to accommodate 66 different cable and pipe diameters, from 3.5 mm to 69.5 mm.

The inserts are fitted with a ridge that fits exactly into the furrows in the main block. These stop the block from ”telescoping”.

A seal using AddBlocks is as secure and tight as one using standard blocks. Both types can be combined in a transit, which makes the MCT Brattberg seal system that more flexible.
